TONIGHT ALIVE RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND TOUR DATES

This is an example of one of the music reviews I wrote for the Voice of London website. The Voice of London was a website run by journalism students as part of our Final Journalism Project.

With the highly-anticipated release of Tonight Alive's new single, this piece covers what to expect, along with the initial reaction from fans on Twitter.

THE KILLERS AT THE O2 ARENA, 28TH NOVEMBER 2017

This is slightly different to the previous piece in the sense that it goes into more depth with reviewing. I attended this gig so I provide a first-hand experience, describing everything from Brandon Flowers' voice through to the atmosphere in the arena, as their biggest hit blasts out for the encore.

AN OVERWHELMING SENSE OF PARANOIA: THE WOMAN IN BLACK

A rather terrifying trip to the theatre, led me to write a review of the play, The Woman in Black, which has been running for the past thirty years.

The review discusses the story structure, which was based on the 1983 novel by Susan Hill, as well as stage props and cast members. To gain a 'scaredy-cat's' opinion of the play, read on for more.

HENRI ROUSSEAU, 'SURPRISED!' (1891)

This review placed me out of my comfort zone as it is unlike anything I have reviewed before. After taking a trip to the National Gallery for my Arts and Entertainment module, I found this piece particularly endearing.

To enable me to write this review, I had to get into a different mindset. This required me to think about a whole variety of elements, such as the direction of the paint strokes and the colours used. These elements were then open to my interpretation with regards to the message this artwork was trying to portray.
